<![CDATA[The rapid expansion of digital technology has reshaped adolescents' interpersonal dynamics, particularly through the phenomenon of phubbing and reflecting others in favor of smartphone use. This study examines the correlation between the Qur'anic ethics of greeting (salam) in QS. An- Nisā ' 86 and the behavioral disruption caused by phubbing among teenagers. Using a thematic tafsir approach combined with phenomenological analysis, this research explores how digital distraction undermines key Islamic ethical values such as reciprocity, social presence, and respectful acknowledgment. Findings reveal that phubbing functions as a form of interpersonal disengagement that contradicts the Qur'anic command to respond to greetings with attentiveness and excellence. The study identifies three Qur'anic ethical pillarsḥuḍūr (presence), jawāb (responsiveness), and iḥtirām (respect) as a conceptual framework for addressing digital communication problems in contemporary Muslim societies. This integrative model contributes to bridging classical Islamic ethical discourse with modern psychosocial challenges. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for ethical digital literacy and calling for broader cross-cultural and longitudinal research to strengthen the understanding of phubbing's implications for Islamic communication ethics.]]>
