Kategori Emosi Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Rajapati di Pananjung Karya Ahmad Bakri: Kajian Psikologi Sastra

This research aims to describe the emotion category of the main character in the novel Rajapati di Pananjung by Ahmad Bakri using David Krech’s theory of emotional categories through a literary psychology approach. The method used in this research is descriptive  with content analysis technique. The result of this study describe David Krech’s categorisation theory on Yoyo as the main character.  Using this categorisation theory as a theoretical basis in dissecting the categorisation of Yoyo as the main character in this novel. The result of the analysis show the classification of emotions described by the author, one of which is through Yoyo as the main charcate. Thus, Krech’s categorisation of emotions can provide an overview and prove the truth of this thoughts through the category of emotions. This research is expected to provide an understanding of David Krech’s basic categorisation that can be used in dissecting the category of emotions in the novel Rajapati di Pananjung by Ahmad Bakri. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk medeskripsikan kategori emoasi tokoh utama dalam novel Rajapati di Pananjung karya Ahmad Bakri dengan menggunakan teori kategori emosi oleh David Krech melalui pendekatan psikologi sastra. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan teori kategorisasi David Krech pada Yoyo sebagai tokoh utama. Menggunakan teori kategorisasi ini sebagai dasar teori dalam membedah kategorisasi Yoyo sebagai tokoh utama dalam novel ini. Dari hasil analisis tersebut memperlihatkan klasifikasi emosi yang digambarkan oleh pengarang salah satunya melalui Yoyo sebagai tokoh utama. Sehingga, kategorisasi emosi yang dikemukakan Krech dapat memberikan gambaran dan membuktikan kebenaran pemikirannya melalui kategori emosi. Penelitian ini diharapakan dapat memberikan pemahaman tentang kategorisasi dasar David Krech yang dapat digunakan dalam membedah kategori emosi dalam novel Rajapati di Pananjung karya Ahmad Bakri.
