This study aims to analyze the moral development of students at TPA Abdul Muthalib, Sengkang, Wajo, through teaching and learning activities. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving 18 students as subjects. Data were collected through moderate participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the head of the TPA, teachers (ustadz/ustadzah), students, and parents, as well as documentation. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman model with source triangulation to ensure validity. The findings show that TPA Abdul Muthalib implements a structured learning system supported by guidebooks and a special moral–character development program conducted every Friday. The moral values developed include politeness (mappatabe’), etiquette when entering a house, and proper manners when speaking to parents and teachers. The ustadz and ustadzah serve as role models through their daily attitudes and behaviors. Supporting factors include financial contributions from the community, while the main obstacle is the challenging character of some students. The study highlights the importance of role modeling, habituation, and advice in effective moral development within non-formal Islamic educational institutions.
