Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 4 Pariaman dalam proses pembelajaran yang disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru dan model pembelajaran yang digunakan guru kurang mendorong peserta didik untuk terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran serta guru juga kurang memperhatikan gaya belajar yang dimiliki peserta didik sehingga peserta didik merasa kesulitan dalam memahami materi pembelajaran pada pembelajaran IPA. Salah satu cara yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran quantum teaching. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran quantum teaching terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas VIII SMPN 4 Pariaman. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experiment dengan rancangan Posttest Only Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling maka terpilihlah kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis dan diperoleh thitung = 3,37 dan ttabel = 2,04. Berdasarkan nilai thitung > ttabel yang diperoleh maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran quantum teaching pada pembelajaran IPA memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII di SMPN 4 Pariaman.This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 4 Pariaman in the learning process which was caused by the learning process still being teacher-centred and the learning model used by teachers did not encourage students to be actively involved in learning and teachers also paid less attention to learning styles. students have so that students find it difficult to understand the learning material in science learning. One way that can overcome this problem is by implementing the quantum teaching learning model. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the quantum teaching learning model on student learning outcomes in class VIII science learning at SMPN 4 Pariaman. This type of research is a Quasy Experiment with a Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique, so class VIII.3 was chosen as the experimental class and class VIII.2 as the control class. The data obtained were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test and obtained tcount = 3.37 and ttable = 2.04. Based on the value obtained tcount > ttable, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that the application of the quantum teaching learning model in science learning has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at SMPN 4 Pariaman.
