<![CDATA[The development of digital technology has significantly transformed the field of education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). One of the rapidly developing technologies is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is capable of supporting learning processes to become more effective, interactive, and adaptive to students’ needs. This article aims to describe the integration of Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Religious Education learning in the digital era, including the basic concepts of AI, the implementation of AI as a learning medium, as well as the challenges and opportunities of its application in Islamic education. The method used in this article is a literature review by examining various references related to the use of AI in education. The results indicate that AI can be utilized as a digital learning assistant, learning evaluation tool, educational chatbot, adaptive quiz system, and automatic learning content generator. The use of AI in PAI learning can improve learning effectiveness, personalize learning materials, and increase student engagement. However, the use of AI also presents challenges such as plagiarism risks, data security issues, and limitations in understanding students’ emotional and spiritual aspects. Therefore, the implementation of AI should be carried out wisely while maintaining the teacher’s role as the primary guide in Islamic values and character education.]]>
