This study aims to determine the implementation of social studies learning strategies in addressing the challenges of diverse student characteristics at Purwodadi Elementary School. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with class teachers, while questionnaires were administered to third-grade students at Purwodadi Elementary School. The results indicate that students have diverse characteristics in social studies learning, such as differences in levels of understanding, activeness, courage to ask questions, and learning styles. Most students enjoy social studies learning, especially learning that uses games, activities, and examples from everyday life. Teachers implement various learning strategies such as group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, the use of digital media, and remedial and enrichment sessions to adapt learning to the diverse characteristics of students. These strategies are considered quite effective in creating more active social studies learning and helping to reduce gaps in student understanding in the classroom.
