Physical and motor development is one of the essential aspects that must be stimulated from an early age, as it supports children's ability to perform daily activities and contributes to other developmental domains. One form of stimulation that is appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood is the introduction of dance education. This study aims to analyze the role of dance introduction in optimizing the physical and motor development of early childhood children. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research design. Data were collected from various scientific sources, including books, journal articles, conference proceedings, and research reports related to dance education, physical development, motor development, and early childhood education published within the last five years. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used content analysis. The findings indicate that the introduction of dance plays a significant role in optimizing the physical and motor development of young children. Dance activities enhance gross motor skills through movements such as walking, running, jumping, and maintaining balance, while also supporting fine motor development through coordinated and controlled movements. Furthermore, dance contributes to the improvement of body coordination, flexibility, agility, physical fitness, and self-confidence. Therefore, the introduction of dance can serve as an effective and enjoyable learning medium that aligns with the developmental characteristics of young children and supports the optimal development of their physical and motor abilities.
