<![CDATA[Charactereducation has become a strategic priority in Indonesian primary schools as an effort to shape students' positive behavioral outcomes. This study examines the influence of character education on student behavior in elementary school settings using an ex post facto research design. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 60 fifth-grade students across three state elementary schools in West Java. The findings reveal that character education significantly influences students' social behavior, discipline, honesty, responsibility, courtesy, environmental care, and cooperative attitudes. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.72, p < 0.01) was found between the intensity of character education implementation and the overall quality of student behavior. These results confirm that systematic, consistent, and holistic integration of character values into school routines is a powerful lever for building behaviorally sound students. The study recommends that schools strengthen teachermodeling, family partnerships, and ongoing character-based habituation as the core pillars of an effective character education program.]]>
