This study aimed to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with a Deep Learning approach on the creative thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Banyubiru 1 Magelang in learning the perimeter and area of plane figures. This research employed a quantitative method with an experimental design. The participants consisted of 20 students from Class IV A of SD Negeri Banyubiru 1. Data were collected through tests and observations. The research instruments included pre-test and post-test questions on creative thinking skills and observation sheets. The assessed aspects of creative thinking were fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, linearity, and hypothesis testing (t-test) with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings showed that the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, while the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected. These results indicate that the Problem-Based Learning model with a Deep Learning approach had a significant effect on students’ creative thinking skills. Following the implementation of the learning model, students demonstrated improvements in generating ideas, proposing various alternative answers, finding diverse solutions, and elaborating their ideas in greater detail. Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model with a Deep Learning approach had a positive and significant effect on students’ creative thinking skills in mathematics learning at SD Negeri Banyubiru 1.
