This study was motivated by the low level of student career planning, characterized by limited awareness of personal potential and a lack of understanding regarding educational and career information. Consequently, students faced difficulties in determining plans for further education and selecting suitable career paths. The study aimed to enhance student career planning through career guidance services utilizing the symbolic modeling technique at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. A Service Action Research (PTL) method was employed, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle comprised stages of planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection, with two sessions per cycle. The subjects consisted of six Grade XI F1 students selected based on career planning questionnaire results. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation sheets (for group leaders and members), Immediate Assessment Sheets (LAISEG), student worksheets (LKPD), and field notes. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods, incorporating triangulation techniques. The results demonstrated that career guidance services using the symbolic modeling technique effectively improved student career planning. In Cycle I, the indicator for self-information achieved an average score of 76.39, and the indicator for career planning information achieved an average score of 74.58; both fell into the "good" category. Following corrective actions in Cycle II, both indicators improved to reach the "very good" category. This improvement was corroborated by observations, LAISEG results, student worksheets, and field notes, which showed students developing their ability to recognize personal potential, understand information regarding education and the workforce, and formulate career plans in a more systematic, focused, and realistic manner. Thus, the symbolic modeling technique is effective in enhancing student career planning. Keywords: Career Guidance, Symbolic Modeling, Career Planning, Service Action Research
