The school library is one of the educational facilities that functions as a learning resource to support the teaching and learning process in schools. In Islamic Religious Education (PAI), the existence of a library can help students gain broader knowledge and improve their understanding of religious materials. This study aims to describe the role of the library at SMP N 2 Kalikajar in supporting Islamic Religious Education learning. The research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects included the librarian, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students of SMP N 2 Kalikajar. The results of the study indicate that the library of SMP N 2 Kalikajar plays a significant role as a learning resource center by providing various reading materials and references that support Islamic Religious Education learning. The library is utilized by teachers as a supporting facility for instructional activities and by students as a place to seek information and deepen their understanding of materials learned in the classroom. The utilization of the library has a positive impact on enhancing religious knowledge, reading interest, learning outcomes, and the development of students’ religious character. However, the use of the library still requires further improvement, particularly in expanding the collection of religious books and optimizing school literacy programs. Therefore, the library holds a strategic role in supporting the achievement of Islamic Religious Education learning objectives at SMP N 2 Kalikajar.
