<![CDATA[This research is entitled "Child Grooming in the Novel Broken Strings by Aurelie Moeremans (A Literary Psychology Study: Abraham Maslow)". The study aims to describe the forms of child grooming and the forms of resistance carried out by the main character against child grooming in the novel Broken Strings by Aurelie Moeremans. This research employs a literary psychology approach using Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. The forms of child grooming found in the novel include excessive attention, emotional dependency building, manipulation of feelings and guilt, control over the victim's life, and creating fear of loss. Meanwhile, the forms of resistance demonstrated by the main character include realizing that the relationship is unhealthy, attempting to overcome emotional dependency, revealing wounds and trauma, leaving the destructive relationship, and recovering from trauma. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a library research design. This approach produces descriptive data in the form of quotations, dialogues, narratives, and monologues found in the novel. Data were collected through documentation techniques by reading, recording, and classifying the data according to the research focus. The findings reveal that Broken Strings represents child grooming as a form of psychological abuse carried out gradually through emotional manipulation and the exploitation of the victim's psychological needs. Furthermore, the study indicates that victims possess the ability to resist and recover from traumatic experiences through self-awareness, social support, and psychological healing processes.]]>
