The development of technology and the dynamics of education require teachers to create learning processes that are innovative, engaging, and effective. In Islamic Religious Education, teachers in the use of learning media at SMP Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers, the principal, vice principal of curriculum, and students. The findings showed that PAI teachers had implemented pedagogical competence through planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning by utilizing various learning media such as PowerPoint presentations, instructional videos, and images. The use of learning media made the learning process more interactive, effective, and easier for students to understand. Supporting factors included adequate school facilities and institutional support, while the inhibiting factors were limited learning time and teachers’ mastery of technology. Therefore, pedagogical competence plays an important role in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.
