<![CDATA[Flooding is one of the disasters that frequently occurs in the Sepulu Village area, Sepulu Subdistrict, Bangkalan Regency, which has an impact on community activities and the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine and obtain information about flood disaster mitigation efforts in Sepulu Village. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with interview, observation, and documentation methods. The population in this study was the entire community of Sepulu Village located in a flood-prone area, while the research sample consisted of the village head and four local residents who were frequently affected by flooding. The results showed that the main causes of flooding in the area were indiscriminate waste disposal around the river, narrowing of the river flow, and shallow river conditions, causing water to overflow onto the roads. Efforts have been made by the government and residents to build retaining walls on the sides of the river to prevent water from overflowing into residential areas. However, the flooding problem has not been optimally resolved because there are still flood points on the main road that have not been further addressed.]]>
