This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and job satisfaction on performance. It employs a quantitative approach, utilizing primary data collected via questionnaires. A census sampling technique (or saturated sampling) was used, involving the entire population comprising 60 employees actively working in the Engineering Division of Hotel Claro Makassar as respondents. The analytical methods employed are statistical analyses comprising multiple linear regression, the correlation coefficient (R), the coefficient of determination (R²), the t-test, and the F-test. The results indicate that compensation has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, while job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect; furthermore, compensation and job satisfaction simultaneously exert a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The study's implications suggest that management should increase compensation and maintain existing levels of job satisfaction to further enhance employee performance for the company's advancement.
