This study aimed to analyze teachers’ strategies in introducing English vocabulary to elementary school students at SD Negeri 85 Lubuklinggau. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to obtain an in-depth understanding of the strategies used by teachers, their implementation in classroom activities, and the challenges encountered during the teaching process. The participants of this study were two English teachers. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that teachers used various strategies to introduce English vocabulary, including games, songs, flashcards, pictures, repetition techniques, and real objects. Supporting media such as smart television and quizzes were also utilized to increase students’ engagement and participation. These strategies helped create an enjoyable learning environment and encouraged active student involvement in vocabulary learning. However, teachers faced several challenges, including students’ pronunciation difficulties, limited vocabulary retention, and maintaining students’ attention during lessons. To address these challenges, teachers applied continuous repetition and interactive learning activities. The study concludes that appropriate teaching strategies and interactive learning media positively contribute to English vocabulary learning among elementary school students.
