The development of digital technology in education demands learning innovations that can increase students' learning motivation while introducing local culture from an early age. Low learning motivation among elementary school students, caused by the use of less varied conventional methods, is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately. In addition, the lack of learning media that integrates elements of Minangkabau culture causes students to be less familiar with their own regional cultural heritage. This study aims to develop an interactive learning application based on Minangkabau culture to increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The developed application contains Minangkabau cultural content covering the Rumah Gadang, traditional clothing, traditional dances, and regional songs, presented through images, animated videos, and interactive quizzes. Product validation was carried out by media experts and material experts, while the trial was conducted on 30 fourth-grade students of SDN 12 Koto Baru, Dharmasraya Regency. The media expert validation results reached 87.5% (very feasible) and the material expert reached 88.9% (very feasible). The average student learning motivation score increased from 62.4 in the pretest to 81.7 in the posttest, with an N-Gain of 0.52 (medium-high category). The results show that the Minangkabau culture-based interactive learning application is effective in increasing elementary school students' learning motivation while also serving as a means of preserving local culture within the primary education environment.
