Background: Hearing impairment is a health problem that can reduce productivity at work. Workers who experience hearing impairment are not only identified through difficulties in speaking, but also through their physiological conditions. Purpose: To determine the factors associated with hearing impairment among coconut sellers using machines in the working area of Kuta Alam Community Health Center, Banda Aceh City, in 2025. Method: This study used a descriptive-analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 47 coconut sellers using machines. The sample was selected using a total population technique. The study was conducted from February 3 to February 9, 2025, using a validated questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square statistical test through SPSS. Results: The univariate analysis showed that hearing impairment was present in 55.3% of respondents; the majority were adults (66.0%); 87.2% were exposed to high noise frequency; 91.5% did not use hearing protection devices; 57.4% had abnormal working hours; and 61.7% had long working tenure. The bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between age (p-value = 0.042), noise frequency (p-value = 0.041), use of hearing protection devices (p-value = 0.020), working hours (p-value = 0.000), and length of employment (p-value = 0.000) with hearing impairment among coconut sellers using machines in the working area of Kuta Alam Community Health Center, Banda Aceh City, in 2025. Conclusion: Age, noise frequency, use of hearing protection devices, working hours, and length of employment significantly contribute to the risk of hearing impairment among coconut sellers using machines.
