This study aims to enhance the activity and learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Diwek on the topic of geometric shapes through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, utilizing the model developed by Stephen Kemmis and Robbin McTaggart, involving 32 students of class VII D over two learning cycles. Data were collected through student activity observation sheets and learning outcome test sheets. The results showed that student activity increased from 65% in the first cycle, categorized as fairly good, to 83% in the second cycle, categorized as very good. Additionally, student learning outcomes significantly improved, with the average score rising from 73.35 in the first cycle, with a classical completeness rate of 66.67%, to an average score of 82.03 in the second cycle, with a classical completeness rate of 83.33%. These findings indicate that the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing both student activity and learning outcomes in mathematics. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Discovery Learning model can be used as an effective alternative to improve the quality of mathematics instruction.
