Hair perming is a beauty technique that aims to transform hair into neat and attractive curls. One technique used in the perming process is the brick pattern technique, which is a technique of alternating rotto arrangements to produce more natural and even curls. This study aims to determine the quality of hair perming results using the brick pattern technique based on a literature review. This study used a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data were obtained from five relevant journal articles and several books that discuss hair perming techniques and research methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation, while data analysis was carried out descriptively by reviewing and comparing various selected sources. The results of the study indicate that the quality of hair perming results is influenced by several indicators, namely the neatness of the curl pattern, the uniformity of the curl shape, softness, shine, and hair volume. The brick pattern technique makes a significant contribution, especially in producing neat, even curls with a balanced volume. The uneven rotto arrangement helps reduce the formation of parting lines in the hair, so the final result looks more natural. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the brick pattern technique plays a significant role in improving the quality of hair perms. With proper technique application, the resulting perms tend to be more optimal in terms of neatness, uniformity, and volume
