<![CDATA[This study discusses the impact of the existence of Universitas Riau on improving the quality of human resources in Riau Province during 1962–2022. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the impact of Universitas Riau on human resource quality, (2) to identify the role of Universitas Riau in improving human resources, and (3) to examine the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving human resources quality in Riau Province. This study uses the historical research method with the stages of heuristics, source verification, interpretation, and historiography. The results show that Universitas Riau has significantly contributed to improving human resources quality through education, research, and community service. In addition, Universitas Riau has developed in educational facilities, study programs, and graduate quality, while supporting scientific and community development in Riau Province.]]>
