<![CDATA[This research aimed to develop an Android-based learning media for Social Studies subjects on the topic of the history of Islamic development in Indonesia at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 10 Sarolangun. The study was motivated by the limited use of digital learning media in the classroom, resulting in monotonous learning activities and low student engagement. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri Satu Atap 10 Sarolangun. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The developed product was validated by media experts and material experts to determine its feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the Android-based learning media was categorized as highly feasible based on expert validation results. The practicality test indicated that both teachers and students gave positive responses toward the use of the application in the learning process. The effectiveness test showed an increase in students’ understanding of the material, which was indicated by the improvement of learning outcomes and N-Gain scores after using the media. The Android-based learning media was able to create a more interactive, flexible, and engaging learning environment for students. Therefore, the developed learning media can be used as an innovative digital learning resource to support Social Studies learning in junior high schools.]]>
