Abstract

Unik suatu lembaga pendidikan. Setiap lembaga memiliki strategi branding yang berbeda, yang dirancang untuk memberikan gambaran yang jelas kepada masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting bagi sekolah untuk mengelola branding image dengan baik agar memberikan manfaat bagi kedua belah pihak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen branding image dalam meningkatkan daya saing di SMP N 28 Kerincidan untuk menemukan kendala dan solusi untuk masalah tersebut. Studi ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Untuk mengumpulkan data, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan. Setelah itu, data dianalisis dengan mengurangi, menampilkan, dan membuat kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian: (1) Manajemen Branding Image dalam meningkatkan daya saing di SMP N 28 Kerincisebagai berikut: a). Peningkatan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). b). Peningkatan kualitas sarana dan prasarana sekolah, serta 3). Mempromosikan kegiatan dan keunggulan sekolah ke media sosial untuk menarik minat masyarakat. (2) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat manajemen branding image di SMP N 28 Kerinci, meliputi: a). Faktor pendukung, yaitu manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang baik, keberadaan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai dan lokasi sekolah yang strategis.b)Faktor penghambat, yaitu kurangnya disiplin siswa, pendanaan sekolah yang masih belum maksimal serta kurang koordinasi. (3) Solusi dalam mengatasi faktor penghambat manajemen branding image dalam meningkatkan daya saing SMP N 28 Kerinciyaitu: a). Kedisiplinan, yaitu dengan mengadakan pemeriksaan setiap pagi dan penanaman nilai moralitas pada siswa, b). Pendanaan, yaitu dengan menentukan program skala prioritas untuk mengefisiensi dana, c). Meningkatkan komunikasi antar pegawai baik tenga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of Islamic education policies in Islamic Education (PAI) learning at SMPN Satu Atap 10 Sarolangun and to explore the roles of teachers, principals, and the surrounding community in supporting this implementation. This research employed a qualitative approach with field studies conducted at SMPN Satu Atap 10 Sarolangun through observations, interviews, and documentation with selected informants. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model with triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results indicate that the implementation of Islamic education policies at SMPN Satu Atap 10 Sarolangun is effectively carried out through the synergy of teachers, principals, and the community. PAI teachers play a central role in both teaching and character development, principals provide policy and managerial support, while the community, particularly parents and religious leaders, reinforces Islamic values through active participation. Despite limited facilities, this collaboration fosters a religious and conducive learning environment in the rural context.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has significantly transformed educational systems worldwide, including Islamic education in rural areas. However, implementing distance learning (DL) in these settings presents unique challenges due to limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and socioeconomic disparities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of distance learning in enhancing technological literacy within Islamic education in rural Sarolangun, Indonesia. A qualitative approach was employed through a systematic literature review, focusing on scholarly works related to distance education, digital literacy, and Islamic pedagogy in rural contexts. Data were gathered from academic databases using keywords such as "distance learning," "digital literacy," "Islamic education," and "rural area." The findings reveal that while digital platforms can effectively support cognitive learning, they often fall short in addressing affective and psychomotor domains crucial to Islamic education. The study also highlights the importance of integrating Islamic values into digital pedagogy to maintain spiritual authenticity. The research suggests that blended learning models combining online and face-to-face approaches offer a more adaptable solution for rural Islamic schools. Nevertheless, ongoing challenges such as technological inequity, insufficient teacher training, and cultural resistance to change must be addressed. These insights provide a foundation for designing contextually relevant and value-based distance education strategies that align with the needs and realities of rural Muslim communities.
