The teaching of speaking skills at Al-Salam Senior High School Bangilan Tuban still faces several problems, such as low speaking fluency, lack of self-confidence, and difficulties in using Arabic vocabulary and sentence structures. Therefore, this study aims to: (1) determine the effectiveness of using TalkPal AI in teaching speaking skills, and (2) identify students’ responses toward the use of the media. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of class XI B as the experimental group and XI C as the control group. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using SPSS through normality, homogeneity, Independent Sample T-Test, and N-Gain tests. The results showed that: (1) the use of TalkPal AI was effective in improving students’ speaking skills, as indicated by the experimental group’s posttest mean score of 74.84, which was higher than the control group’s score of 50.30, while the N-Gain result showed a moderate improvement category; and (2) students gave positive responses because TalkPal AI increased motivation, self-confidence, speaking fluency, and Arabic pronunciation. Therefore, TalkPal AI can be considered an effective and modern learning medium for teaching speaking skills.
