This study aims to describe the implementation of the project-based STEAM learning model in fine arts instruction and analyze the improvement in creativity and engagement of third-grade elementary school students. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with 33 students at SD Negeri 03 Bojonglongok as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through technical and source triangulation, while data analysis employed an interactive model encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that before the implementation of the learning model, the learning process was still teacher-centered, resulting in students being passive and lacking in creativity. After implementing the project-based STEAM model through crafting activities from recycled materials, students became more active, confident in expressing their opinions, and able to work effectively in collaboration. Furthermore, student work exhibited greater variety and reflected more original ideas. Therefore, the project-based STEAM learning model is able to enhance student creativity and engagement and provide a more meaningful and contextual learning experience.
