This study aims to determine the effect of the Auditory Intellectually Repetition learning model on the ability to write news texts of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Huristak. The population in this study were all grade VII students with a total of 66 students, the research sample was 22 students for the control class and 22 students for the experimental class. The method used in this study was an experimental method using a quantitative approach and a two-group post-test only design. The ability of grade VII students in writing news texts using the direct instruction learning model got an average score of 67.09 in the sufficient category. This shows that students' ability to write news texts has not met the KKTP determined by the school, which is 75. Meanwhile, the ability of grade VII students using the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model in writing news texts got an average score of 78.9 in the good category. This shows that the students' ability to write news texts has met the KKTP determined by the school, namely 75. The t-count value tested was 5.122 and t-table 1.68, this proves that the research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted because t-count (5.122) > t-table (1.68). The Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model has an effect on the ability to write news texts by class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Huristak.
