Adolescence is a critical developmental stage characterized by significant emotional and psychological changes, making individuals vulnerable to mental health challenges. This study aimed to examine the relationship between fatherlessness and psychological well-being among adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Limboto Barat. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed with a total of 73 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Fatherlessness Questionnaire and the Ryff Scales of Psychological Well-Being (RPWB). The analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate levels of fatherlessness and psychological well-being. Statistical analysis revealed a significant negative relationship between fatherlessness and psychological well-being (p < 0.05; r = -0.694), indicating that higher levels of fatherlessness are associated with lower psychological well-being among adolescents. These findings highlight the importance of paternal involvement in supporting adolescents’ psychological development. The study suggests that strengthening family roles, particularly father engagement, is essential to improving adolescents’ mental and emotional well-being in school settings.
