<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the application of the demonstration method in prayer practice (salat) for children with intellectual disabilities at SDLB Negeri 2 Lombok Barat, and to identify factors hindering or supporting its implementation. This study was motivated by the difficulty that children with intellectual disabilities have in understanding the movements and recitations of salat. Thus, a concrete, easy-to-understand teaching method was necessary. The demonstration method was chosen because it provides direct examples to help students practice salat step by step.The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were teachers of Islamic education and students with intellectual disabilities at SDLB Negeri 2 Lombok Barat. Data analysis was conducted through condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity testing was performed using source, technique, and time triangulation. The results of the study show that, in implementing the learning process, the teacher uses video and image media of prayer movements and then demonstrates the movements and prayers directly so the students can gradually and repeatedly imitate them. The students showed positive responses, such as enthusiasm, activity, and focus, when participating in salat practice. The factors that hindered this process were time constraints, difficulty remembering the movements and prayers, and distractions from peers. The motivating factors are teacher competence, repetition and practice, the use of teaching media, and IMTAQ activities. Thus, the demonstration method helps children with intellectual disabilities more easily understand and practice the salat prayer.]]>
