<![CDATA[This research was conducted based on the importance of utilizing information technology through computer laboratory management as an effort to improve student competency in today's digital era. However, computer laboratory management in supporting learning activities still faces various obstacles. This study aims to analyze the role of computer laboratory management in improving student competency, while identifying opportunities and challenges that arise in its implementation at SMA Negeri 2 Tolitoli. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that computer laboratory management at SMA Negeri 2 Tolitoli has made a significant contribution to improving student competency. This is evident from the implementation of management functions including planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. Laboratory management is evident from scheduling, division of managerial tasks, and the use of laboratories in digital-based learning. This utilization is able to improve technological skills, material understanding, learning interest, and students' abilities in using computers. Opportunities in laboratory management are evident in the existence of well-run scheduling and supervision so that the practical learning process can take place more effectively and directed. In addition, computer laboratories also support teachers in creating more interactive and innovative learning in accordance with developments in educational technology. However, laboratory management still faces several challenges, particularly the limited number of computers and suboptimal internet connection quality. Therefore, improved facilities, maintenance, and enhanced supervision are needed to ensure the computer lab's use is more effective in supporting student competency development]]>
