Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) To discover the description of the instructional leadership of Headmaster at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palu; 2) To discover the strategy for implementing instructional leadership of headmaster at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palu. The type of this research is descriptive-qualitative with a pedagogical, sociological and philosophical approaches. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research showed that: 1) The application of instructional leadership is reflected on the leadership of headmaster which is oriented around improving the quality of education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palu; 2) The strategy for implementing instructional leadership of headmaster is by maximizing supervision and training at the level of school, and involving the teachers and educational staff in workshops or seminars to improve the quality of education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palu. The implications: 1) Headmaster needs to increase creativity in bringing up new ideas in directing and supervsing teachers and educational staff to improve the quality of educational services at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palu; 2) Headmaster needs to implement strategies of supervision, discussion, training for teachers and educational staff, and involving parents of students in making policies relating to the improvement of quality of the learning process at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of competence and compensation on the performance of academic staff employees within the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research method used is quantitative research method with data collection techniques through questionnaires. Research data were taken from 52 academic staff employees within the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan. The results showed that competence had a significant effect on employee performance with a t-count> t-table value of 2.187> 2.0098, and the significance value was 0.034 <0.05. Compensation also has a significant effect with the value of t-count> t-table is 2.217> 1.0098 and the significance value is 0.031 <0.05. Simultaneously competence and compensation have a significant effect with the value of F-count> F-table is 17.814> 3.18 and the significance value is 0.00 <0.05. The contribution of influence or determination of competency and compensation variables to the performance of academic staff employees in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Keguruan is 42.1%.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) To determine the effect of teacher professional competence on student learning outcomes in grade V at SD Negeri No. 12 Pamalikang Island Sabaru Village, Pangkajene Regency and Archipelago. 2) To determine the effect of student motivation on learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri No. 12 Pamalikang Island, Sabaru Village, Liukang Kalmas District, Pangkajene Regency and the Archipelago. 3) To determine the effect of teacher professional competence and student learning motivation together on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri No. 12 Pamalikang Island Sabaru Village, Pangkajene Regency and Archipelago. The type of research used is correlational quantitative which aims to determine whether or not there is an influence between the two variables to be measured. Total population of 38 students consisted of class III to class V SD Negeri No.12 Pamalikang Island. The sampling technique used was saturated / census samples.Based on the results of the study showed that 1) the professional competence of teachers has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in Islamic Education subjects at SD Negeri No. 12 Pamalikang Island, Sabaru Village, Liukang Kalmas District, Pangkajene Regency and the Archipelago. 2) Learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in Islamic Education subjects at SD Negeri No. 12 Pamalikang Island, Sabaru Village, Liukang Kalmas District, Pangkajene Regency and the Archipelago. 3) Teacher professional competence and learning motivation simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in Islamic Education subjects at SD Negeri No. 12 Pamalikang Island, Sabaru Village, Liukang Kalmas District, Pangkajene Regency and the Archipelago

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki dampak supervisi pendidikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru di SD Inpres 3 Talise, Kota Palu. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan metodologi kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian ialah kepala sekolah dan lima pendidik di SD Inpres 3 Talise, Kota Palu. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara komprehensif, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh diperiksa menggunakan metodologi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dan validitasnya divalidasi dengan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknis, dan triangulasi temporal. Supervisi akademik, klinis, dan kolegial termasuk di antara tahapan supervisi yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan supervisi pendidikan, menurut hasil penelitian. Supervisi pendidikan dilaksanakan secara terencana dan berkelanjutan dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor utama dalam memberikan bimbingan dan pendampingan kepada guru. Penerapan supervisi pendidikan memberikan dampak positif dalam memperkuat kompetensi profesional guru, terutama dalam pengetahuan materi pembelajaran, perencanaan pembelajaran, penggunaan metode dan media pembelajaran, dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi beberapa kendala, termasuk kurangnya waktu untuk pelaksanaan supervisi, beban kerja guru, dan tindak lanjut supervisi yang kurang optimal. Studi ini menemukan bahwasanya supervisi pendidikan dapat menjadi teknik pengembangan profesional yang efektif jika dilakukan secara terencana, kolaboratif, dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran supervisi kolegial dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru di MIS Alkhairaat Kendek, Kecamatan Banggai Utara, Kabupaten Banggai Laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dan metodologi kualitatif. Lima siswa, delapan guru, kepala sekolah, dan wakil kepala sekolah menjadi subjek penelitian. Observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, yang kemudian dievaluasi menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penyusunan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber dan metodologi untuk menjamin validitas data. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa empat fase kunci: perencanaan program supervisi, observasi pembelajaran di kelas, evaluasi reflektif, dan tindak lanjut berupa pembinaan, pendampingan, dan pelatihan oleh kepala sekolah dan guru senior digunakan untuk secara sistematis dan berkelanjutan menerapkan supervisi kolegial. Kompetensi pedagogis guru meningkat ketika supervisi kolegial diterapkan, khususnya dalam hal perencanaan pelajaran, manajemen kelas, penggunaan berbagai pendekatan pengajaran, dan peningkatan motivasi serta kinerja guru. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan beberapa kendala, antara lain keterbatasan waktu kepala madrasah, kesulitan penjadwalan, dan rendahnya motivasi belajar sebagian guru.Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa supervisi kolegial dapat dijadikan strategi pembinaan profesional yang efektif apabila dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif, konsisten, dan disertai tindak lanjut yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Era transformasi digital telah membawa perubahan paradigma yang signifikan dalam ekosistem pendidikan tinggi, khususnya melalui integrasi kecerdasan buatan atau Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep transformasi manajemen dosen pendidikan tinggi dalam konteks integrasi AI serta mengkaji implikasinya terhadap pengembangan kompetensi, kinerja, dan profesionalisme dosen berdasarkan kajian literatur. Menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumentasi dari berbagai artikel ilmiah, buku, dan dokumen kebijakan yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi manajemen dosen memerlukan pergeseran dari pendekatan administratif tradisional menuju manajemen talenta berbasis data yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi. Implikasi dari integrasi AI menuntut dosen untuk tidak hanya menguasai materi dan pedagogi, tetapi juga kompetensi digital yang komprehensif, sebagaimana dikonseptualisasikan dalam kerangka Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) dan Digital Competence for Educators (DigCompEdu). Integrasi AI dalam pembelajaran terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi evaluasi kinerja dan personalisasi pembelajaran, namun sekaligus menghadirkan tantangan baru terkait etika akademik dan moralitas. Oleh karena itu, institusi pendidikan tinggi perlu merumuskan ulang strategi pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang berfokus pada pelatihan berkelanjutan, kepemimpinan adaptif, dan pembentukan budaya organisasi yang responsif terhadap inovasi teknologi, guna memastikan bahwa AI berfungsi sebagai alat pemberdayaan bagi dosen, bukan sebagai pengganti peran esensial pendidik.

Abstract

Peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah sangat dipengaruhi oleh peran kepala sekolah melalui penerapan gaya kepemimpinan yang efektif dan adaptif dalam mengelola lembaga pendidikan. Kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin memiliki tanggung jawab dalam mengelola sumber daya serta menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah serta strategi yang diterapkan dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SD Inpres 2 Bantaya Kecamatan Parigi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi untuk memperoleh temuan yang valid dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menerapkan beberapa gaya kepemimpinan, yaitu demokratis, birokratis, diplomatis, dan partisipatif, yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi tenaga pendidik, tenaga kependidikan, dan peserta didik. Penerapan gaya kepemimpinan tersebut berdampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, serta terciptanya hubungan kerja yang harmonis di lingkungan sekolah. Selain itu, keterlibatan seluruh warga sekolah dalam pengambilan keputusan turut memperkuat efektivitas kepemimpinan yang dijalankan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan gaya kepemimpinan yang fleksibel dan kontekstual berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, kepala sekolah perlu mempertahankan dan mengembangkan gaya kepemimpinan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan lembaga serta meningkatkan kompetensi sumber daya manusia secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of school culture on students’ academic achievement in madrasahs. According to various sources, students’ academic achievement in Indonesia remains relatively low, as evidenced by various national and international educational assessment results. One factor suspected of influencing academic achievement is school culture. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of school culture on the academic achievement of students at State Madrasah Tsanawiyah 3 in Palu City. This study employs a quantitative approach. The research sample consists of 40 students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection for this study involved distributing a Likert-scale questionnaire on the school culture variable and using report card grades as an indicator of students’ academic achievement for the academic performance variable of ninth-grade students. Validity was tested using item-total correlation, and reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s Alpha. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26 via simple linear regression. The results indicate that school culture has a positive but insignificant influence of 5.7% on students’ academic achievement. These findings suggest that school culture has a positive but insignificant influence on student achievement in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study addresses the growing concern over students’ moral and behavioral challenges in contemporary education, where discipline is increasingly recognized as a fundamental component of character formation. The study aims to examine how school stakeholders perceive and implement disciplinary practices in fostering students’ character at SMP Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu, Indonesia. A descriptive qualitative research design was employed, involving semi-structured interviews with the principal, teachers, security personnel, and ninth-grade students, complemented by observations and document analysis. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation applied to ensure credibility. The findings reveal that discipline is cultivated through a holistic and integrative approach involving structured school regulations, consistent supervision, parental involvement, and mentoring practices that emphasize self-reflection rather than punitive measures. Internal factors such as students’ motivation and habits, as well as external factors including teacher guidance, security enforcement, and institutional policies, interact dynamically in shaping disciplined behavior. The study also highlights that the integration of ecological collaboration, religious-humanist values, and autonomy-supportive practices fosters the internalization of discipline among students. In conclusion, effective discipline development requires a comprehensive framework that combines clear regulations, relational support, and intrinsic motivation to promote sustainable character formation in secondary education.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to ascertain how the madrasah principal's supervision affected the performance of the teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Palu City. The methodology utilised in this investigation was quantitative. The study population consisted of forty instructors from Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Palu City. Because saturated sampling was the sampling approach employed, the entire population served as the research sample. In order to gather data for this study, questionnaires were distributed. Data analysis and instrument testing were conducted using SPSS Statistics software. Data analysis techniques included descriptive analysis, inferential statistical analysis (normality and linearity tests), simple linear regression testing, hypothesis testing, and determination coefficient testing. The study's findings demonstrated that the madrasah principal's oversight had a major impact on teachers' performance. This was demonstrated by the R Square value of 0.340, which showed that the madrasah principal's supervision had an impact on 34% of teacher performance, while other factors not covered in this study had an impact on the remaining 66%. These results demonstrate that teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Kota Palu is greatly enhanced by the principal's supervision.
