<![CDATA[Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is the most important foundation in building a quality next generation of the nation. However, for many years, the management of PAUD institutions has still revolved around conventional management patterns that are centralistic, reactive, and minimally innovative. This paper comprehensively examines three main dimensions: first, an overview of conventional PAUD management along with its weaknesses second, the urgency for educational units including PAUD to keep up with the times and third, the concept and implementation of independent PAUD management based on School-Based Management (SBM) principles in detail. Using a descriptive-analytical approach and literature review, this paper concludes that the transformation towards school-based management is not merely an option, but a necessity for PAUD to optimally contribute to child development and address the challenges of an ever-changing society.]]>
