Abstract

A concise and factual abstract is required (maximum length 200 words). The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results, and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. References should therefore be avoided, but if essential, they must be cited in full, without reference to the reference list. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself. Abstract in italics, spacing 1, size 11, Font Book Antiqua also includes keywords. The number of words for the abstract is min. 150-200 words, which contain the problem, objectives, methods, and results. Keywords are a minimum of 3 (three) and a maximum of 5 (five) words that reflect the content of the manuscript. Please avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, 'and', 'of'). Separate each keyword with a ";" on every word. Be frugal with abbreviations: only abbreviations that are familiar in the field are eligible. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.

Abstract

Abstract

Purpose – This community service activity aims to provide assistances for Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs), specially for food and beverage field, applying halal certification via Halal self-declared (SEHATI) Program. Design/methodology/approach – This program is conducted by recruting and training students as certified halal companion (PPH) by BPJPH. This were done by collaboration between Halal Center Studies of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (PKH-ITS) and ITS Techno Science. The SMEs training for Halal Process held around August 2023. Afterward, all the PPH will be accompanied and assisted the SMEs for applying the halal certificate via SIHALAL system; including preparing the SJPH, entry all the information, submitting the document, verification and validation as well as done the revision untill the halal certificate was finally issued. Findings – The SEHATI program has been started since 2021 and the quota continues to increase every year. However, not every SMEs known this information. It is mandatory for food and beverage, slaughter services, and slaughter products at 17th October 2024 should be halal certified. Therefore, PKH-ITS together with PPH helps and assists SMEs in applying a halal certification through a community service program at 2022. The upgraded facilities of SIHALAL’s website (version 2022) make it more user friendly. The 15 SMEs have certified via the SEHATI22 program with PKH assistances. Originality/value – Though the SEHATI Program is announced by the goverment at 2021, this relatively not well known by the SMEs as the subject of the halal certification. Hence, third party such PKH-ITS need to present for accompanying and assisting the SMEs. The SIHALAL system is used for submitting the application of halal certification. Therefore, highly technology adapted of the PPH are required, for completely assisting the SMEs. Hence, the presence of the PPH in this process is mandatory and vital; increasing the succesibility of the SEHATI program.

Abstract

The development of housing and residential areas is a basic human need that has a strategic function as a center for family education, cultural nursery, and improving the quality of future generations, and is a manifestation of identity. One of the manifestations of the achievement of people's welfare is marked by increasing the quality of a decent and dignified life through meeting the needs of boards as one of the basic human needs. Thus the development of housing and settlement areas is one of the strategic fields in the efforts of Indonesian human development as a whole and the construction of housing and settlement areas is a multi-sector activity, the results of which directly touch one of the basic needs of the community. Meeting the needs of decent housing in a healthy environment is certainly the duty of the community itself, the government in this case has the task of creating a conducive development climate so as to provide opportunities for businesses to provide housing and residential areas. The dynamics of the development of spatial use in the area of Pesisir Barat Regency has an impact on the occurrence of a shift in the use of space from areas that are characterized by rural areas to areas that are characterized by urban areas, increased growth of built areas and misuse of land allotment for settlements A backlog of houses can be measured from two perspectives, from the residential and ownership aspects. Home backlog from the perspective of occupancy is calculated by referring to the ideal calculation concept: 1 family occupies 1 house. The formula used to calculate the house backlog from the perspective of occupancy is: Backlog = ∑Family - ∑Home. The concept of inhabiting in the calculation of the backlog represents that each family is not required to own a house, but the Government facilitates / encourages that every family, especially those belonging to Low Income Communities (MBR), can inhabit decent homes, either by leasing / contracting, buying / inhabiting own house, or living in a house owned by a relative / family as long as security of residence (secure tenure) is guaranteed. Ownership backlog is calculated based on the home ownership rate / percentage of households (households) occupying their own home. The development of housing and settlements in Pesisir Barat Regency is caused by several factors that ultimately require a large amount of space in carrying out their activities. In determining the allocation of space for meeting housing needs, the number of housing needs in Pesisir Barat Regency is determined first. Determination of the needs for the number of houses up to 2037 is calculated from the population of the predicted year.

Abstract

Time series forecasting is an essential feature in finance and banking activities. This study employs deterministic, stochastic, and hybridization models to forecast inflow and outflow of Bank Indonesia representative office in Aceh. Previous researches have shown that there were no standard models to forecast regular money requirement of Bank Indonesia. The proposed methodology in this research consists of two steps. The first step, classical models are used to analyze the linear part of inflow and outflow data. In the second step, a support vector regression model is applied to model the residuals obtained from the classical models. By using the given 210 observations, this research finds that the superiority of hybridization model is suitable to forecast inflow series and the simple individual classical model is appropriate to predict outflow series. In the context of net cash flow, the forecasted values approached the ideal feature of inflow and outflow series patterns.

Abstract

This research compares the characteristics and learning methods between Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools that focus on classical books and the understanding of Salafus Shalih, with modern or Khalafiyah Islamic boarding schools that integrate general and religious curricula. A case study at the Syifaul Qulub Islamic boarding school shows the adoption of the curriculum of the Darussalam Martapura Islamic boarding school with an emphasis on learning classical books through the sorogan and bandongan methods, reflecting a traditional approach in the educational process. Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools emphasize the study of classical religious sciences, while Khalafiyah Islamic boarding schools combine religious and general sciences. The main objective of Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools is to shape Muslim characters who are faithful, pious, and provide positive benefits to the community, although they do not formally state their objectives, but rather have an orientation to maintain the purity of Islamic teachings according to the understanding of Salafus Shalih. Salafiyah Islamic boarding schools play an important role in shaping the character and morals of the students, by instilling the values of discipline and Islamic ethics, while still adhering to traditional values and contributing to social activities and da'wah, making a significant contribution to Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Toilet training young children is an essential milestone in a child's journey towards independence. This study explored the implementation and outcomes of a structured toilet training program in a playgroup setting. The aim is to assess its effectiveness in fostering independence in toddlers aged 1.5 to 3 years. The program takes a gradual approach, emphasizing positive reinforcement and consistency in the routine. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The data collection techniques used included observations of participating toddlers over six months, with data collected through interviews with teachers and direct observation during playgroup activities. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman. The research results showed that, first, in the Al-Fatih KB, 5 of the 14 children had difficulty using the toilet. Second, teachers' structured and consistent approach has proven effective in helping children understand and internalize toilet use skills. Third, the supporting factors in training children's independence in using toddler toilets at Al-Fatih KB Palembang City include good cooperation between teachers and parents, mental and psychological readiness of children, mature age, and complete and adequate facilities and infrastructure in Toilet Training learning. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the child's age, mental and psychological not being ready to learn Toilet Training and the lack of cooperation from parents who still use disposable diapers on their children.
