This study aims to determine the effect of using ethno-based comic media on improving students' cultural literacy skills at SDN 011 Pulau Mungkur. This study uses the Quasi Experimental Design method with the form of research design is Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study were fourth grade students at SDN 011 Pulau Mungkur with class IVA as the experimental class and class IVB as the control class with a total of 36 students. Data collection techniques used were pretest posttest, interviews and documentation. The data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, Mann-Whitney U Test and N-Gain test. The results showed that the experimental class experienced an average increase of 13.55 points from 65.78 to 79.33. Meanwhile, in the control class only increased by 4.00 points from 65.11 to 69.11. The Mann-Whitney U test showed a significance value of 0.027, less than 0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting H1. The N-Gain test showed a score of 0.41, with a percentage of 41.00% in the medium category in the experimental class, and 0.10, with a percentage of 10.00% in the low category in the control class. These findings prove that the ethno comic media Pacu Jalur has a significant influence on improving students' cultural literacy skills at SDN 011 Pulau Mungkur.
