<![CDATA[Salaf Islamic boarding schools (pesantren salaf), which are closely identified with the practice of Sufism (tasawuf) values, offer a solution to the challenges of modern society. This study is categorized as field research employing a qualitative approach to examine the existing structures and contexts regarding the internalization of Sufism values. The specific Sufism values internalized at the Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School to cultivate the students' (santri) morals (akhlak) include repentance (taubat), patience (sabar), sincerity (ikhlas), contentment (qona’ah), asceticism (zuhud), piety/scrupulousness (wira’i), and divine love (mahabbah). The internalization process of these values utilizes three models formulated by Imam al-Ghazali, namely takhalli (purification), tahalli (beautification), and tajalli (enlightenment). Furthermore, the application of Sufism values in the students' daily lives is implemented through several activities, such as habituating wirid (litany recitation) and muroqobah (mindfulness/divine consciousness), exemplifying uswatun hasanah (good role modeling), deepening Sufism studies through formal and non-formal education, and participating in spiritual paths (thariqah). Ultimately, the institutional regulations and policies, the Islamic school (madrasah diniyah) curriculum, supporting activities within the institution, and the modesty and noble character exemplified by the scholars/teachers (masyayikh) serve as strategic solutions in overcoming the challenges of internalizing Sufism values in the modern era.]]>
