<![CDATA[ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the efforts made by parents to reduce the rate of out-of-wedlock pregnancies among adolescents in RT 003/003, Papanggo Subdistrict, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta. This research employed a qualitative approach using phenomenological and case study methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that parents’ efforts were carried out through the provision of religious education, supervision of adolescents’ social interactions, sexual education, restrictions on social media use, and the establishment of open communication within the family. The factors causing out-of-wedlock pregnancies were influenced by weak parental supervision, the influence of social environments, low religious understanding, and uncontrolled use of social media. This study shows that the role of parents has an important influence in shaping adolescent behavior in order to prevent deviant behavior and free association.]]>
