<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the importance of inmate development through equivalency education as an effort to improve the quality of inmates at the Class III Rangkasbitung Penitentiary. The equivalency education program is implemented through the PKBM Bina Lapaskas Center, which organizes Packages A, B, and C for inmates who have not completed formal education. This study aims to determine the implementation of inmate development through equivalency education and the benefits inmates obtain after participating in the program. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that inmate development through equivalency education is carried out through personality development and independence. Personality development is carried out through religious activities, scouting, marawis, as well as the habituation of discipline and good manners in the learning process. Meanwhile, independence development is carried out through skills activities, Assimilation and Education Facilities (SAE) in the fields of agriculture and fisheries, and equivalency education packages A, B, and C. In implementing inmate development through equivalency education, there are still obstacles such as limited infrastructure, classrooms, and budget. However, prison management has implemented follow-up measures through a rotating learning system and the use of internal staff as tutors. This program provides benefits in the form of increased knowledge, skills, self-confidence, and behavioral changes among inmates.]]>
