This study aims to describe the leadership of the madrasa principal in establishing a collaborative school culture at MTsS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar. The study was motivated by the important role of school leaders in creating a harmonious and participatory educational environment that encourages collaboration among school members. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving the principal, vice principal, teachers, and educational staff as research subjects. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles Huberman, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the principal played a significant role in developing a collaborative school culture through open communication, participatory decision-making, and strengthening cooperation among school members. Democratic communication created a harmonious working atmosphere and increased teachers’ involvement in school programs. Teacher participation in decision-making also fostered responsibility and collective commitment toward the madrasa’s goals. These findings reinforce the concepts of collaborative and participatory leadership in Islamic educational management and provide practical implications for developing more participatory and humanistic madrasa management.
