<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the application of a learning model using a critical literacy approach in improving the critical reading skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Rendang. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted through four main stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were 12 sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Rendang. The data collection methods used were observation and testing. Data analysis in this study employed descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of a learning model using a critical literacy approach based on guided reading can improve the critical reading skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Rendang. This is evident from the initial or pre-cycle conditions, with an average score of 57.5 and a class achievement rate of 25%, which improved in Cycle I to an average of 69.58 with a class achievement rate of 41.6%, then reaching optimal results in Cycle II with an average of 89.16 and a class achievement rate of 91.6%, and (2) the learning model using a critical literacy approach based on guided reading has proven effective in improving the critical reading skills of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Rendang.]]>
