The development of digital payment technology in Indonesia has accelerated the adoption of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as the national standard for QR-based payments. This study aims to analyze the utilization of QRIS technology in improving consumer transaction convenience at Indomaret in Maiwa Subdistrict, Enrekang Regency, and to identify the factors influencing the level of convenience. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation involving eight informants consisting of consumers and Indomaret employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, assisted by NVivo 12 Pro software for thematic coding. The results indicate that QRIS utilization is rated favorably, with ease of use and security as the most dominant indicators, while usage frequency remains the lowest, reflecting consumers' continued reliance on cash transactions. Regarding consumer transaction convenience, ease of access emerged as the most dominant indicator, whereas system reliability scored the lowest due to unstable internet connectivity. Overall, QRIS utilization contributes positively to consumer transaction convenience, although strengthening digital literacy, outreach programs, and network infrastructure remains necessary to optimize and equalize its utilization.
