<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Joyful Learning approach on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 109 Palembang regarding the topic of fictional texts. The study employed a true experimental method using a posttest-only control group design. The research population consisted of all fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 109 Palembang, with a sample of 57 students selected via random sampling—comprising 28 students in the experimental class and 29 in the control class. Data were collected through multiple-choice learning outcome tests and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results indicate that the average learning outcome score in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class (83 versus 66). Hypothesis testing yielded a significance value of 0.031 (p < 0.05); consequently, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the Joyful Learning approach has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 109 Palembang regarding the topic of fictional texts.]]>
