The background of this study stems from a primary challenge faced by both novice and experienced teachers classroom management. Classroom management is a crucial skill that enables teachers to understand, assess, and improve the classroom atmosphere. This is particularly important because student behavior constantly evolves over time. This study aims to describe the classroom management skills employed by the teacher to foster learning motivation among third-grade students at SDN Pasirjati, as well as the challenges faced in implementing effective classroom management for this purpose. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data analysis follows the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, comprising three main stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings indicate that the classroom management skills practiced by the teacher align with components known to foster student learning motivation. However, the teacher faces several challenges, including diverse student characteristics, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, and issues related to instructional time specifically, a lack of student focus during afternoon lessons.
