<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze informal education in margondang music in the wedding ceremonies of the Batak Angkola community in Marisi Village, East Angkola District, Tapanuli Selatan Regency. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of 2 traditional leaders and 2 music players/pargondang. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that margondang music contains values of informal education, namely values of character, religion, ethics, politeness, and morality. Character values are reflected in mutual respect among the parties involved in the traditional ceremony. Religious values are seen in prayers and traditional practices that remain in line with Islamic teachings. Ethical values are reflected in polite communication and respect for traditional leaders. Politeness values appear in the orderly implementation of the traditional procession and the involvement of young people in cultural activities. Meanwhile, moral values are shown through cooperation, deliberation, and a sense of togetherness in the community. Thus, margondang music not only functions as entertainment in wedding ceremonies, but also as an important medium of informal education that helps instill local wisdom values and strengthen the cultural identity of the Batak Angkola community.]]>
