The results of the study indicate that (1) students and teachers expect literacy materials that combine images, colors, animations, and stories closely tied to their cultural environment, such as Balinese folktales; (2) based on this, an interactive flipbook supported by local wisdom stories was developed, titled “Satua Bali: A Collection of Local Wisdom Folktales” with the slogan “Getting to Know Culture, Instilling Goodness, and Understanding the Story’s Content”; and (3) the content expert validation scored 72 with a 90% validity rate, falling into the “highly valid” category. Meanwhile, the media expert validation yielded a score of 74 with a percentage of 92.5%, which also falls into the “highly valid” category. Although there were several suggestions for improving the product, overall, the flipbook was deemed suitable for use in teaching critical reading to sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Antiga Kelod.
