This study was motivated by the researcher's experience while participating in the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB) at the Center for Competency Development of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (PUSBANGKOM DPR RI). Through direct involvement in various digital technology-based activities, such as the use of learning media, ChatGPT customization for training module development, and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the researcher observed the process of developing students’ digital competencies in responding to the demands of a technology-driven workplace. This study aims to analyze the digital competencies of Educational Technology students after participating in the MSIB program at PUSBANGKOM DPR RI. The research focuses on students’ experiences in developing digital competencies, the relevance of internship experiences to workplace demands, and the supporting and inhibiting factors encountered during participation in the MSIB program. This study employed a qualitative research method using interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that the MSIB program at PUSBANGKOM DPR RI provides practical and transformative learning experiences that enhance students’ digital competencies, particularly in the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital content development, collaboration, communication, and technology-based problem-solving skills. Through participation in the MSIB program at PUSBANGKOM DPR RI, students gained valuable learning experiences that support the development of digital competencies and improve their readiness to enter the workforce.
