ANALYSIS OF BRICK PRODUCTION MACHINE EFFECTIVENESS USING THE OVERALL EQUIPMENT EFFECTIVENESS (OEE) METHOD AT CV RH BATU BATA CILANGKARA

Abstract

ABSTRAK CV RH Batu Bata Cilangkara merupakan usaha manufaktur skala kecil dan menengah yang bergerak di bidang produksi batu bata merah. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada perusahaan meliputi downtime mesin, hasil produksi yang berfluktuasi, serta produk cacat yang memengaruhi efektivitas mesin pencetak batu bata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas mesin produksi menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness dan mengidentifikasi kerugian produksi dominan menggunakan pendekatan Six Big Losses. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi perusahaan. Data yang digunakan mencakup periode Januari sampai Mei 2025, meliputi jam kerja tersedia, downtime, waktu operasional, jumlah produksi, produk baik, dan produk cacat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness sebesar 81,19%, sehingga masih berada di bawah standar world class sebesar 85%. Rata-rata availability rate sebesar 90,58%, performance rate sebesar 92,18%, dan quality rate sebesar 97,19%. Nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness terendah terjadi pada bulan April sebesar 74,63%, terutama disebabkan oleh tingginya downtime dan rendahnya capaian produksi. Analisis Six Big Losses menunjukkan bahwa breakdown losses menjadi kerugian dominan sebesar 15,00%, diikuti reduced speed losses sebesar 11,11%. Perusahaan perlu memprioritaskan preventive maintenance, inspeksi mesin rutin, standardisasi setup, pelatihan operator, dan pengendalian kualitas untuk mengurangi downtime, menstabilkan kecepatan produksi, dan meningkatkan efektivitas mesin. ABSTRACT CV RH Batu Bata Cilangkara is a small and medium manufacturing enterprise engaged in red brick production. The company faces production problems related to machine downtime, fluctuating output, and defective products, which affect the effectiveness of the brick molding machine. This study aims to measure machine effectiveness using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness method and identify dominant production losses using the Six Big Losses approach. This research used a descriptive quantitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and company documentation. The data covered the period from January to May 2025 and included available working time, downtime, operating time, production output, good products, and defective products. The results showed that the average Overall Equipment Effectiveness value was 81.19%, which is below the world class standard of 85%. The average availability rate was 90.58%, the performance rate was 92.18%, and the quality rate was 97.19%. The lowest Overall Equipment Effectiveness value occurred in April at 74.63%, mainly due to high downtime and low production achievement. Six Big Losses analysis showed that breakdown losses were the dominant loss at 15.00%, followed by reduced speed losses at 11.11%. The company should prioritize preventive maintenance, routine machine inspection, setup standardization, operator training, and quality control to reduce downtime, stabilize production speed, and improve machine effectiveness.
