Pengaruh Model Discovery Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPAS Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN Blega 1

This study was motivated by the low IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at Elementary School of Blega 1, which were still below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP). The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on IPAS learning outcomes on the topic of energy transformation. This research employed a quantitative method using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of class IV-A as the experimental group, which received instruction using the Discovery Learning model, and class IV-B as the control group. Data collection techniques included pretests, posttests, observations, and documentation. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using a t-test, the obtained t value was 2.745 with a significance value of 0.009 (< 0.05). These results indicate that there is a significant effect of the Discovery Learning model on the IPAS learning outcomes of fourth-grade students. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model is considered effective in supporting students’ conceptual understanding and engagement in IPAS learning.
