Abstract

Flexible working arrangement (FWA) has become a policy that is starting to be chosen by many companies today. The post-covid context has required companies to adapt by offering opportunities their employees to organize their personal and work lives through work from home (WFH) arrangement. However, for certain individuals, FWA makes the boundaries between personal and work life thinner. The purpose of this study was to examine the conditions of work-life integration (WLI) in workers who implement the Flexible Working Arrangement system based on participant demographics. Data were collected using an online questionnaire with a Work-Life Integration scale and using t-tests to determine the differences between participant demographic categories. Based on 400 participants, male participants showed a tendency towards higher WLI scores than women. This shows that women face more complex challenges in managing the balance between work demands and personal life. Marital status also shows that participants who are divorced tended to score predominantly in the below-average category. These findings suggest that divorced participants may require additional time and support to re-establish personal-work balance.
