Psychological traumatic among students can affect emotional well-being, learning concentration, social relationships, and overall development. Therefore, guidance and counseling services need appropriate and engaging media to provide comfortable support for students. This study aimed to develop an archery-based media grounded as a supporting medium in individual counseling services for the psychological recovery of ninth-grade junior high school students and to determine its feasibility and practicality. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, which was limited to the Develop stage. The trial subjects were four ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation and analyzed using percentage calculations. The developed product consisted of a user guidebook, an archery board, problem cards, emotion cards, exemplary-character cards, and storage boxes. The results showed that the media obtained a feasibility score of 81% from the media expert and 96% from the material expert, both categorized as highly feasible. The practicality test based on the guidance and counseling teacher's response obtained a score of 94%, categorized as highly practical, while the students' responses obtained a score of 209 out of a maximum of 240, equivalent to 87%, categorized as highly practical. Therefore, the archery-based media grounded was considered highly feasible and highly practical as a supporting medium in individual counseling services to assist the psychological recovery process of ninth-grade junior high school students. The media is expected to provide an innovative alternative for guidance and counseling teachers in creating a more interactive and comfortable counseling process while supporting students in expressing and reflecting on their emotional experiences.
