Low student interest in learning Arabic requires the use of more engaging instructional methods. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the storytelling method and examine its effectiveness in improving the learning interest of Grade X students at Madrasah Aliyah Mutiara Aulia Sunggal. The study employed the Kemmis and McTaggart Classroom Action Research (CAR) model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 11 students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The findings showed that the storytelling method effectively increased students' learning interest. In the pre-cycle stage, 73% of students were in the poor category. After Cycle I, 64% reached the good category, while in Cycle II, the integration of visual media (illustrated cardboard and Arabic text) resulted in all students (100%) achieving the excellent category. Students also became more active, focused, and enthusiastic during the learning process. Therefore, the visual media-based storytelling method is an effective strategy for enhancing students' interest in learning Arabic. This study contributes to the development of interactive Arabic language teaching and recommends further research involving larger samples and different educational contexts. Future research is recommended to involve larger and more diverse samples and to examine the effectiveness of storytelling supported by various visual media in different Arabic language learning contexts.
