<![CDATA[Career choice is an important aspect of an individual’s life because it is related to self-development and future goals. University students are required to have a clearer understanding of their career plans in order to prepare themselves for the world of work. This study aims to analyze the career choices of students in the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tanjungpura University, as well as the factors influencing those career choices. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants consisted of 10 students from the Economic Education Study Program class of 2020 and 2021 who had considered their future careers. Data were collected through interviews and documentation. The results showed that the most dominant career choices among students were in the field of education, particularly becoming teachers, followed by entrepreneurship. The findings also revealed that students’ career choices were influenced by internal and external factors, including interests, personality, values, talents, family environment, learning experiences, role models or inspirational figures, and career knowledge. In addition, learning experiences and inspirational figures were found to play an important role in shaping students’ career decisions. The study also found that students’ career choices were generally aligned with the graduate profile of the Economic Education Study Program, especially in the fields of education and entrepreneurship.
